This Privacy Policy explains how Calibr Bio Labs ("Calibr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit calibrbiolabs.com, create an account, place an order, submit a form, or otherwise interact with our website and services.

1. Scope and introduction

This policy applies to information handled through our website and related customer, account, order, fulfillment, and support services. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of third-party websites, banks, carriers, or services that you choose to use outside our website.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, shipping address, organization, role or title, research purpose, account credentials, research-use and age acknowledgments, and the content of messages, documentation requests, contact forms, and feedback forms you submit.

When you place an order, we collect the products, strengths, quantities, prices, shipping selections, referral or promotional codes, order status, tracking information, and other information needed to process and fulfill the order. Payments are currently made through Zelle outside our website. We do not collect your bank-account or payment-card credentials on our website. We may record payment status and information needed to match an external payment to your order.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting, authentication, and security infrastructure may process technical information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages or routes requested, request time and status, and approximate location inferred from an IP address. We also use authentication cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, preserve your shopping cart, and remember your age and research-use acknowledgment.

We use a random first-party browser cookie to estimate unique visitors and count visits to public website pages. The analytics record stores a one-way hash of that random identifier, the page route, visit time, referring website domain, campaign tags when present, and an approximate country and state or region derived by our host from the request. We do not store an IP address, name, email address, precise location, or full referring URL in these analytics tables.

When campaign tags or a referring website are available, the first source may also be associated with a later order for aggregate marketing reporting. This does not add an IP address or precise location to the order.

If you voluntarily subscribe to promotional email updates, we record your email address, confirmation and consent times, subscription status, signup source, and email-provider synchronization status. We do not add checkout customers to the promotional list automatically. For campaign reporting, we may record delivery, bounce, complaint, suppression, open, and link-click events supplied by our email provider. Our reporting does not retain the provider's event IP address, user agent, full webhook payload, or link query string.

If you use address suggestions during checkout, the address text you enter and related technical information may be sent to Mapbox to return matching addresses. We do not currently use advertising pixels or behavioral advertising tools on the website.

Information from other sources

We may receive order, payment-match, delivery, tracking, fraud-prevention, or account information from service providers such as Zelle-participating financial institutions, Shippo, shipping carriers, Supabase, and other vendors that help us operate the services.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

• create and manage customer and employee accounts;
• review research-use eligibility and maintain required acknowledgments;
• process orders, match payments, generate shipping labels, provide tracking, and manage fulfillment;
• send order, shipping, account, security, recovery, and other transactional communications;
• send promotional email updates after confirmation, honor opt-outs, and measure campaign delivery and engagement;
• respond to contact forms, feedback, product questions, and documentation requests;
• apply promotions, measure website use, and understand how customers heard about Calibr;
• protect the website, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our policies; and
• comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

4. How we disclose information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We also do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own targeted advertising. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers. Vendors that provide hosting, authentication, database, email, address lookup, order management, shipping, label, tracking, security, professional, and similar operational services. These currently include Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Mapbox, Shippo, and shipping carriers, as applicable.
• Payment and financial services. Zelle and participating financial institutions process payments under their own terms and privacy policies. We disclose only the information reasonably needed to reconcile or address a payment.
• Legal and safety purposes. Government authorities, courts, advisers, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or needed to protect customers, Calibr, or others.
• Business changes. A prospective or actual buyer, successor, financing source, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of some or all of our business or assets.
• At your direction. Other parties when you ask us to disclose information or provide consent.

5. Research-use compliance

Our products are offered only for qualified laboratory research and are not for human or veterinary use. We may use and retain account, organization, research-purpose, age-acknowledgment, order, refusal, cancellation, and related records to evaluate eligibility, document compliance, investigate suspected misuse, and meet legal or operational obligations. We may restrict or refuse service when we believe an interaction is inconsistent with our research-use requirements or policies.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies and similar browser-storage technologies support account sessions, security, shopping-cart persistence, the website's access acknowledgment, and aggregate first-party traffic measurement. You can control cookies and stored website data through your browser. Disabling or clearing them may sign you out, empty your cart, cause the access notice to appear again, or cause a later visit to be counted as a new anonymous visitor.

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. Because there is no uniform standard for responding to that signal, our website does not currently change its behavior when one is received. We do not currently use the site for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No online service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide accounts and services, fulfill orders, support customers, maintain research-use and transaction records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Retention periods vary according to the information and purpose. When information is no longer needed, we may delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

You may review and update certain account information after signing in. Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may also ask us to provide access to, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.

You may opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or contacting us. We may still send transactional messages about your account, orders, security, or support requests. To submit a privacy request, email support@calibrbiolabs.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Please do not submit health information

Calibr is not a healthcare provider, pharmacy, or medical service. Do not send us medical records, prescriptions, diagnoses, treatment plans, dosing information, or other sensitive health information through forms, email, or account fields.

10. Age restrictions and children's privacy

The website and products are not directed to anyone under 21, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that such information was submitted, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as required by applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a minor provided information may contact us.

11. Third-party websites and services

The website may link to third-party publications, banks, carriers, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and this policy does not control their handling of information. Review a third party's terms and privacy policy before providing information to it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may also provide an additional notice where required by law.
